Yes. Before you can place an order, you will need to register your business contact and company details. By registering your details, Australian Booksellers Assn (BookPeople) is able to provide a more efficient service to you and your business. This includes fast and efficient order processing, tracking the status of your Gift Cards orders and recording negotiated commercials against your registered company details. Once registered with BookPeople you can place your Gift Card orders by logging on to the corporate website. If you are having any difficulties placing your Gift Card order, please contact BookPeople on 1300 554 268 or email email@example.com
Yes. Gift Cards available from the BookPeople Corporate Portal may have a variable load amount. The minimum amount that can be loaded on to an individual gift card is $20 and the maximum is $500. If you wish to purchase a card with a larger value, you will need to split the amount over multiple gift cards.
The minimum quantity of Gift Cards required for an order is one (1). There are additional fees and charges such as delivery fees that may apply regardless of the number of cards ordered, or the total value of an order.
You can order physical Gift Cards or e-Gift Cards.
Delivery of physical gift cards takes up to five (5) business days. Physical gift cards are sent out inactive (for security reasons). Once you have received your physical gift cards, please contact BookPeople on 03 9859 7322 during business hours to unsuspend your gift cards.
Delivery of e-Gift Cards takes one (1) business day.
ABA offers a standard Physical and e-Gift Card designs if you would like to customise gift cards please contact BookPeople via email firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
All deliveries for physical gift cards are made by Australia Post to your nominated address.
The delivery cost of physical gift cards ordered via the corporate portal is $9.95 per address
(i.e. if you had card/s sent to five different recipient addresses, the delivery cost would be $49.75).
There is no cost for sending e-gift cards.
Both physical gift cards and e-gift cards can be ordered and payment
made via direct deposit. Credit card payment can be arranged by
calling the office on 03 9859 7322 during business hours a card
processing fee may apply. In some circumstances BookPeople will also
invoice customers with 30 day terms. Please email
If you pay by direct deposit, it is at BookPeople's discretion to
hold the order until payment has been received and verified on our
bank statement. This can take up to five (5) business days from the
date of payment.
You will receive a tax invoice once you have placed the order.
After processing, delivery of physical gift cards takes up to (5) business days and e-gift cards one (1) business day.
Yes. An order statement is generated at the time you place and submit your Gift Card order in the BookPeople Corporate Portal. The statement is e-mailed to you at the e-mail address you provided at time of registration. Once your order is processed you will receive a tax invoice via e-mail.
All gift cards (both physical and eGift Cards) are valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase.
BookPeople is only able to issue gift cards in Australian dollars (AUD).
Yes. There are Gift Card use terms and conditions for BookPeople Gift Cards. The Gift Card terms and conditions contain important information that should be read and understood before you order the Gift Cards. Please take time to view the applicable Terms and Conditions . Please make sure you include these terms and conditions if you are running a promotion or competition using BookPeople Gift Cards.
Yes. The Gift Card Order Terms and Conditions contain important information regarding ordering Gift Cards from the BookPeople Corporate Portal. These Order Terms and Conditions are in addition to any terms and conditions that apply to the use of Gift Cards available through the BookPeople Corporate Portal and any specific ordering terms and conditions that apply. Let us know what you've got in mind by emailing your promotional details to email@example.com and we'll help you work out the best way to facilitate a successful promotion. We're happy to send you Gift Card assets, or our brand logo suite for you to use in your artwork. However, we do require that send it to us for approval. Approvals usually take around 48 hours. Our brand assets need to be legible, on a plain background and with suitable space around them. Please contact us if you require any BookPeople brand assets.
Absolutely. Please contact BookPeople and we can supply our Gift Card
lockup, or logo suite. You can use the BookPeople logo or the gift
card assets interchangeably. They need to be on a plain background at
a legible size, and with suitable space around the creative.

We do require approval, so please send final artwork to the BookPeople Team at firstname.lastname@example.org before it goes live. Approvals usually take around 48 hours, but as much notice as possible is always appreciated.
Personal business details, or company information can be updated via our website, or by contacting the BookPeople at email@example.com As a security measure, each email address is unique and can only be registered once. If your email address has changed it cannot be updated. You will need to re-register via the Corporate Portal with your new details.

No. Once a Gift Card has been loaded, the card's value cannot be increased.
Once Gift Cards are activated, they should be treated like cash, as lost or stolen Gift Cards cannot be replaced or refunded.
An e-Gift Card is a Gift Card that is delivered via email. It works in the same way as plastic Gift Cards work today. The e-Gift Card can be downloaded and viewed or printed to be redeemed instore.
When you purchase an e-Gift Card, an email will be sent to the recipient with an excel file attached. Open this attachment and copy the URL link from column C of the excel file, paste the URL link into your web browser to download your digital voucher.
Yes. Providing the Gift Card PIN at time of redemption is mandatory. It is imperative that all Gift Cards issued to customers include a PIN, or the card will not be redeemable.

Yes. You can order your Gift Cards and have the order delivered to any person and/or company nominated as the delivery recipient.
Yes, Gift Cards purchased in the BookPeople Corporal Portal can be picked up if you are local and contact the ABA office as soon as you place the order, however the postal and handling fee will still apply
BookPeople Corporate Portal offers flexible payment methods including direct deposit and over the phone credit card payments. Credit card payments include MasterCard and Visa.
In addition to the loaded value of the Gift Cards in your order, there may be other applicable fees and charges including delivery and handling fee(s) per order.
BookPeople Physical Gift Cards, ordered through the Corporate Portal, are sent inactive. Once you have received your physical gift cards, please contact BookPeople on 03 9859 7322 during business hours and we will activate your gift cards. Once an order is activated, the gift cards must be treated like cash, as lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced or refunded.
